Acid Wash and Bleached Ends

Thrifted leather jacket, vintage Gap jeans, Buffalo boots, self-made shirt, forever 21 rings.

It's been over a hundred degrees this week, and yet here I am wearing a leather jacket.
Why? Because fringe. I feel that's all the explanation that's necessary.

This amazing leather jacket was only $7 at a cancer charity shop, so naturally I made
an impulse buy. My instincts were good -- I doubt I'll regret this purchase. Now all
I need is a Harley...and someone to drive it for me. Any takers?

I always wear turquoise when it's hot out. I believe it has to do with
a subliminal desire to return to New Mexico, but nothing's certain.

Denholm's Dead

Thrifted Dockers men's shirt, high-waisted jeans, Guess purse.

I'm really fascinated with the appearance of effortlessness, probably because I'm a person
that requires an absurd amount of effort to look even borderline presentable. Even when I
make a conscious effort to look casual, like today, it still requires an hour of meticulous
planning, which in the end means it's not casual at all. It's contrived.

Jeans and a shirt -- but what colors of denim? What weights? I need a contrast, should it
be textural or color? Why not both? I need headphones -- they might as well match my bag.

Everything is contrived, kids. Seriously, who sits on a fire hydrant?

Many thanks to my photographer friend for putting up with me and the wind.

White Leather Sono Ichi

Uniqlo blazer, misc. racerback dress, Guess purse.

Happy Easter everyone!

I've been more than a little obsessed with white leather for my spring wardrobe. Somehow I've
veered entirely off of my original plans for Spring -- or what's acceptable for Spring at
all -- and keep opting for black, white, and grey shades of jersey knits. I like to bandy around
the term 'austere' or 'minimalist,' but I think the technical term for this is 'laziness.'

I think my interest in white leather has something (everything?) to do with these heels/sandals
by Celine, which I've been casting longing looks at for months.

You're gorgeous, but you're also expensive.

I did buy a yard of some off-white leather a while ago, so maybe I'll be able to whip something up with that and satiate my longing for expensive things.

Manyage Hoksi

Self made skirt, CBSJ blouse.

Photo credit to 김경수 (Kim Kyung Soo) and Vogue Korea.

Ever since the morning, the raindrops have
been rolling plentifully in through my open window.
At some point, it became a river, bathing me.

I love Casker, and I love this editorial from Vogue Korea.
It was slightly overcast this morning and I thought of it while getting dressed.

I haven't worn any color for the past four days -- I'm still sitting here in black and grey.
I tried to remedy that with this skirt, but as a colleague pointed out, greyish sea-green
isn't really a solution to a lack of color.
